MY 7 Wonders of Taiwan

Okay, time for my 7 wonders of Taiwan remembering that this is just MY opinion of my trip to Taiwan and will not be applicable to everyone and I am sure if I do a return trip anytime soon it will change because I will do other things.

So in no particular order here they are........

1/ Flying the lanterns in Shifen, even though it was touristy I liked the idea of sending some positive wishes up into the heavens and hope that there is someone looking out for me that might grant a wish or two.

2/ The blessing at Xingtian temple which felt incredibly special and I honestly felt truly blessed after receiving it.

3/ The people- who were sweet, helpful and very friendly.

4/ The scenery which was spectacular from the mist in the mountains to

the coastline and stunning natural sculptures at Yehilu Geopark.

5/ Riding the Maokong Gondola, which even in the mist was amazing and was just a reminder that you don't have to go far to get away from a big city.

6/ The changing of the guards ceremonies which had precision and discipline and you could almost feel how proud the guards felt to be part of it.

7/ The food markets, whether through the streets of Jiufen or Huaxhi and of course the food in general.

I know I have seen very little of Taiwan but what I did was incredibly beautiful and I know for certain that the next trip would have a completely different list (maybe 3 and 7 would stay the same) but I know there is so much more to see so I can almost guarantee that the other five things would be completely different....so until next time!!!
