A lovely relaxing day here in London we woke up late and chilled at the hotel until 10.30 before heading out to explore and do a little shopping before heading to our second West End show, this time a matinee performance of Matilda (which was really wonderful and I am full of admiration for the actress who plays her. We took the underground from Kings Cross to Covent Garden which seemed uneventful however as soon as we got out of the station it was swarmed by police and i have no idea why (checked the news and there was nothing about it. For the first time this holiday I had a moment of fear when I saw the guns the police were carrying but when I saw the non-reactions of the people around me I stopped stressing We had an amazing pub lunch, a very tasty toad in the whole of me and a chicken dish for MIkayla.before heading to the show and after the show we headed to Leicester Square.and again I marveled at how much has changed yet still seems to be the same. We took a stroll down the THames, wandered up to Trafalgar Square where the Diwali festival was being celebrated before grabbing some nibblies and heading back to the hotel for a reasonably early night
