Rocking out the latest Venice fashion Mikayla and I set out to explore the city, not sure how many of the main tourist spots we will hit because.....well in case nobody knew,,,Venice is having the worst floods that they have had in 50years which makes things a little tricky. However that wasn't enough to deter us and we explored what we could, but as you can see from some of the photos you don't know where the canal ends and the walkway begins!!! We were happy going to knee height, went a little over because we had no choice at one stage, but if it meant water to the thigh and above it wasn't happening so we would reach places that you couldn't pass and you would have to turn back or try another way. Have to say it makes a great way to explore the city. I do feel really bad for all the hotel, restaurant and store people who are used to flooding but not this bad, some places aren't open and if they are don't have a lot of customers because people can't get to them or don't want to get off of the raised walkways they have in some parts. The hotel manager last night was so apologetic when we arrived as if it was his fault that Venice was flooded. Our room is on the second floor so no matter what we will stay dry during the night ;) Whatever happens we will make the most of it and enjoy what we can in Venice Friday frolics in Venice
