Thirty plus years can make a difference in how I viewed Paris. When I was twenty, experiencing Paris for the first time as part of a Contiki tour it was an amazing experience, seeing a show at the Moulin Rouge, partying at night clubs, taking in all the major sites like the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower and the Mona Lisa, but I wasn't sure I liked it. My first step into Europe (after London) and I was thrilled, I'd studied French all the way through high-school and done countless projects on the country and Paris itself but somehow it wasn't all I had hoped it would be and because of that even though while living in England it was only a hop, skip and a jump away I never went back
Thirty years later I looked at Paris differently, through not only my eyes but of those of my daughter's and there may not have been night clubs and the Moulin Rouge but
