A Lazy Day In Osaka

Check out time was 11am and we made the most of our stay at the hotel, enjoying the breakfast that the hotel had to offer and just enjoying the comforts of the hotel room before we moved on to the Wafu Ryokan Uehonmachi.

We took the pink line (Sen-Nichimae Line) from Osaka-Namba Station to Osaka-Uehonmachi station which was only the next stop up (which is good to know if we want to go back and eat street food in Dotombori before we leave Osaka.

The ryokan or inn is very small (and I am gad we are paying at a reduced rate because I don't think I would be happy paying the higher rate for it as it is not as traditional as I

was hoping for. )From the outside the inn looks like any old building in Osaka, however when you walk in the impression is a little different with a rock garden and a small water feature, cubby-holes to put your shoes in and get your slippers to wear inside.

We couldn't however book in to our room straight away so we decided to have a walk (or in my case-LIMP as my knee was playing up) around the area. There is a real mixture of old and new with some traditional buildings standing alongside modern love hotels. there are stores selling all sorts of goods. lots of restaurants, a couple of schools and parks and a few shrines.

We found a park that was qu

iet and pretty and we just decided to chill for awhile. I played sudoku while Samara surfed the net until our growling bellies told us that it was time to move.

There is a a nice little restaurant attached to the inn where we will be able to get breakfast if we want, and if breakfast is anything like lunch/dinner it will be very tasty

(although possibly the most expensive meal we have had at Y10000 ($11AUs which is still really good but not as cheap as what we have been paying)

We decided to retire to our room early because we've had a couple of full on days and teh enxt few are going to be pretty jampacked so we need to have as much energy as possible to get through them,
